Live device · Real motion · One take

Your iPhone
tilts. So does
the film.

Connect your iPhone via USB or wirelessly. Your screen streams live into a 3D model. Move the phone and the model moves with it. Hit record. That's your app's marketing film.

The real difference

Not a mockup.
The actual device.

Every other tool takes a screenshot and animates it. We stream the live screen from your physical phone. The difference is visible in one second of footage.

Rotato · AppMockUp · ScreenSpace
  • Import a screenshot
  • Canned rotation animations
  • Static lighting baked in
  • No real interaction, it's just a photo
  • Re-export every time the UI changes
vs
TiltCast
  • Live screen via USB or Wi-Fi. What the phone shows, the model shows
  • Gyroscope drives the 3D model in real time
  • PBR lighting responds to your actual motion
  • Tap, swipe, navigate: all captured live
  • UI updated? Film again in 60 seconds
Under the hood

Live. Not
emulated.

Three things happen simultaneously the moment you connect.

01

Screen streams at 60 fps

USB or Wi-Fi carries the raw pixel buffer from your iPhone to TiltCast. Near-zero latency; the 3D model's texture updates every frame.

02

Gyroscope data drives rotation

CoreMotion on the device sends attitude data over the same connection.USB or wireless. The 3D model's yaw, pitch, and roll match the physical phone exactly.

03

You hit record and move naturally

Hold the phone how you'd hold it in a demo. Tilt it, pass it between hands, set it down. Every movement becomes cinematic.

3d preview
Step 01

Connect your iPhone

USB or Wi-Fi.TiltCast opens automatically when you connect. Trust the connection once and you're done. No drivers, no configuration.

Step 02

Pick your scene

Choose a backdrop: dark studio, floating glass, desk, or gradient pop. The 3D environment wraps your phone with cinematic lighting you control in real time.

// scene config
scene.lighting = 'golden-hour'
scene.bg       = 'dark-studio'
Step 03

Move naturally, record

Hit record. Use your phone like you would in a product demo. The 3D model follows. One take, no keyframes, no retouching.

Full control

A director's
toolkit.

You call every shot. Adjust live, no re-exporting, no round-trips.

Angle & orientation

Free rotate, lock axis, or follow the gyroscope. Dial in the exact angle that shows off your UI.

Cinematic motion

Choose from floating, showcase, or gyro-sync motion. All driven by real physics; spring damping and inertia included.

Lighting

Move the key light in real time. Watch reflections change across the phone's metal body as you go.

Screen record

Export ProRes or H.264 at up to 4K 60fps. Transparent background available for compositing.

Environments

Six scenes.
Infinite looks.

Each scene is a full 3D environment with real-time PBR lighting. Switch between them without moving your phone.

Motion modes

How it
moves.

Three modes cover every use case. Switch mid-session without stopping the recording.

float mode

Float

subtle · ambient

Gentle breathing motion driven by sine waves at incommensurate frequencies. Feels alive without being distracting; ideal as a loop.

showcase mode rec

Showcase

dynamic · wide

Larger amplitude rotation that displays all angles of the device. Use it when you want the phone to command attention: hero sections, trailers.

For power users

Script your
shot list.

"I want a 3-second dolly from front-left to front-right, then hold for 2 seconds."

The TiltCast scripting API exposes every parameter as a timeline. Automate angle, lighting, and motion for repeatable, hands-free recordings.

  • Keyframe timeline: set any camera or light parameter over time
  • Easing functions: built-in ease curves or supply your own cubic bezier
  • Multi-take batch: render variations of scenes unattended
  • Webhooks: trigger recordings from CI or Shortcuts

FAQ

Quick answers.

Which iPhones work?

Any iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Connect via USB-C, Lightning, or wirelessly over Wi-Fi on the same network. iPhone 12 and newer recommended for best gyro accuracy.

Does it record my actual app or just an animation?

Your actual app. The screen is streamed live; whatever you do on the phone (tap, swipe, type) is captured in real time. It is not a static screenshot or a GIF playback.

Do I need a developer certificate to stream my screen?

No. TiltCast uses the standard iOS screen recording API, the same one Xcode Simulator uses. No provisioning profile or App Store binary required.

Is there a watermark on the free tier?

No watermark. Free exports include a subtle TiltCast callout in the corner that can be cropped. Pro removes it entirely.

Can I use TiltCast to record an Android phone?

Not yet. Android support is on the roadmap; sign up for the waitlist via the download page.

What frame rate and resolution does the stream run at?

Up to 60 fps at the phone's native resolution, USB or Wi-Fi. The 3D render target matches your Mac's display resolution, up to 4K on Pro.
